About Me
The last six years of my life has been a significant journey. Up to January 2004 I had been working as a producer of a radio show in Florida. I felt it was time for a change, and knew there was more for me. After a lot of thought and some tough decisions, I left everything I knew and loved to work as an unpaid volunteer abroad. I have spent time in Africa and Southeast Asia working with non profit organizations to bring about community transformation in the areas of language, health, and education. I have also worked in Australia training and mentoring youth in leadership and development. This has been the most fulfilling time of my life as I feel alive through helping others reach their fullest potential.
I currently reside in Brisbane Australia. I am the Director of the School of Digital Filmmaking (SDF) and a grassroots production company called The Initiative. Both of these programs are in there infancy stages and are a part of The Institute for the Nations (I for N) Brisbane Campus. The Institute for the Nations is a non profit registered training organization that I have worked with for the last 4 years. I am not only a school administrator, but consider myself an aspiring writer/director. I have worked on a number of short films and more recently in the script supervisors department in the Fox Walden feature, “The Seeker – The Dark is Rising”. During the filming of this feature in Romania, Fox Walden decided to create 6 webisodes based on the life of the interns and myself called. “So You Want to be a Movie Intern?” The web based reality show is hosted on Apple itunes and MTV.com. My work in Australia and abroad continues to open my eyes to the idea that, there is more to life than meets the eye. And I am ready for whatever God has for me around the corner.
