!BRING HIM BACK!
I have to leave Australia after 15 years of volunteer service. New legislation and a constantly changing government has lead to the close of my permanent residency process here in Australia. While I am disappointed, I am not overcome, and this is not the end. I am however required to leave Australia by September 21st. My first step is to take a much needed sabbatical. Due to my lengthy legal battle, I have not had time off in nearly four years. So I will be going back to the US to rest and support raise until the end of the year. My next step is to pursue all avenues to gain entry back to Australia. There is no timeline on how long that would take, and no guarantees of success. I know that sounds like a hopeless situation, but I feel a deep sense within that doors are opening up. No matter what the future holds, I am going to continue as a full time volunteer, leadership developer, teacher, and filmmaker.

WHY DONATE?
One thing is for sure, whatever the next steps are, they must be made from the USA. I have to leave Australia by mid September. This doesn't mean I'm going to be gone forever, however there are no guarantees that I can come back. There are a lot of costs associated with moving internationally. Flights, travel costs, extra luggage, any remaining Australian debt. Then there is the cost of trying to come back to Australia, Legal Fees and Visas Costs. I want to be fully honest and say that I have exhausted all of my funds fighting this last residency process. So I'm reaching out for help.
I don't think this process is over, but I at the same time i need to finish up well. Whether you are cheering for me to come back to the States, or turn around and come back to Australia, Help me with this "Bring Him Back Campaign!"
I'm aiming to raise anywhere in the vicinity of $7,000 to finish up all of my affairs in Australia, and make my next steps.
